Posterior Deltoid Stretch - Standing

Stand with good posture with your feet hip-width apart and hold your tummy tight. Take the arm of the shoulder you want to stretch across your body at chest level and hold it in place with your other arm (above the elbow joint).

Slowly pull your arm closer into your body until you feel the stretch in your shoulder of about 7/10 and hold it for at least 30 seconds and then repeat for the other side.

Do's Don'ts
  • Do keep your tummy tight
  • Do keep a good posture
  • Do move in a slow controlled manner
  • Do breathe slowly and deeply
  • Do hold the arm to be stretched above the elbow
  • Don't hold your breath
  • Don't take the stretch too far
  • Don't arch your back
  • Don't bounce to increase the stretch
