Lateral Raise - Dumbbells

Stand with your knees slightly bent, an upright posture, arms by your side and a dumbbell in each hand. Keep your wrists straight and your palms facing in towards your body.

Now slowly raise your arms up and out to the side until your hands reach shoulder level. At this point slowly lower your arms back down to your side.


Do's Don'ts
  • Do breathe out on the way up and in on the way down
  • Do keep your stomach tight
  • Do only go as high as your shoulder level
  • Do control the movement throughout
  • Don't hold your breath
  • Don't swing the weights
  • Don't arch your back to aid the movement
