Bent Over Row - Dumbbells

Standing up straight bend your knees slightly and lean forwards from the hips maintaining a straight back.

With your dumbbells in hand and hanging down by your side bring your arms up leading with your elbows and keeping them tightly tucked into your body.

Once your elbows are as high as you can get them slowly lower your arms back down until they are straight.


Do's Don'ts
  • Do breathe out on the way up and in on the way down
  • Do have a slight bend in your knees
  • Do lean forwards from the hips
  • Do keep your back straight
  • Do keep your elbows tucked in close to your body during the exercise
  • Don't hold your breath
  • Don't hunch over or round your back
  • Don't just drop your arms back down
  • Don't swing the weights up
