Elbow to Knee Twist Hard

Lie down on your back with your knees slightly bent and with your legs in the air. Only have them as low as you can without them touching the floor and without your lower back arching up.

Crunch up off the floor bringing your right elbow across your body so that your right shoulder blade comes off the floor. At the same time bring your left knee in and across your body so that your elbow and knee touch. Slowly return back to the starting position.

Repeat this for your left elbow and right knee and keep alternating and repeating.

You may find it impossible to get your knee and elbow to actually touch. Don't worry just get them as close as you possibly can and make it your aim to get them to touch eventually.

Do's Don'ts
  • Do breathe out on the way up and in on the way down
  • Do move in a slow controlled manner
  • Do make sure that your shoulder blade comes off the floor
  • Do keep your abdominals tight
  • Don't hold your breath
  • Don't hold onto your head with your hands
  • Don't put your hands behind your head
  • Don't let your lower back arch upwards
  • Don't have your legs too low
